Wee presente the Widdow Beane for receiving an inmate that hath many children.
Wee presente our Butts faulty. (two months)
Wee nominate for Cunstable Mr William Passe and Thomas Ling and also
Queenbonner Marsh [as] Bayliffe.
Wee present Mr Lambert Peachey (sic) Wilt Passe and Mr John Allen over-seers of the passage.
Wee pain James Stares in twenty shillings to remove his fence into his owne ground which stands against Walter Hancock and John Avis by Michaelmas.
Note: The ‘overseers of the passage’ regulated the ferries running between Portsmouth and Gosport. Thisincludedthe number of boats available at any time and the cost of the passage per passenger or horse.
