Hampshire Assizes Held at Winchester Castle, 1 July 1630, before John Denham, B.
Henry Stoppard, husbandman, of Alverstoke, who was indicted at this assizes for the theft of a sail, value 22s., a rudder (2s) , a mast (2s6d) and several ropes (3s) out of a boat belonging to Robert Frampton which was lying in Portsmouth harbour, is ordered to return the goods or their value to Frampton. If he refuses, the nearest J.P. is to bind him with good sureties to answer his contempt at the next assizes.

- Order directing Robert Rigges to prefer a bill of indictment on behalf of the Crown against Thomas Badd, esq., of Fareham, who was bound over to this assizes for speaking scandalous words against the King.
2 Several Portchester men who hold lands of ancient demesne and who have been returned for petty Jury service at assizes have now produced their charter and writ of allowance. The court allows the writ and orders the sheriff to return no Portchester tenants in ancient demesne for jury service in the future.
3. Those who have possession of goods belonging to John Fisher, who was arrested at Portsmouth on suspicion of coining and has been acquitted, are ordered to return them on sight of this order.
4, Those who have possession of goods belonging to Philip Spooner, who was arrested at Portsmouth on suspicion of coining and has been acquitted, are ordered to return them on sight of this order.
