Inventory of Rowner Rectory 1683

Primus his wearing apparel. £7 0s 0d

In the study his books, writing desk and table. £21 0s 0d

The parlour chamber two feather beds, two bed coverlets, two bed matts,

one standing bedstead and two bolsters, three blankets and a set of curtain rods £8 12s 6d

In the same chamber one chest of drawers and carpet, one side table and carpet,

one trunk, three chairs, one looking glass, one pair of andirons, a pair of fire-tongs

and a fire shovel. £3 16s 6d

The hall chamber one down bed and bolster, a pair of down pillows, one pair of

blankets, one rugg, one bedstead, one pair of curtains, and a set of curtain rods £5 4s 0d

From the chamber over the kitchen one flock bed, one trundell bedstead, one

blanket, one coverlett, one trunk, one rush chair and one dozen beehives. 15s 4d

In the outer chamber over the kitchen two feather beds, two feather bolsters,

three down pillows, four blankets, one coverlett, one half headed bedstead,

one pallet bedstead, two bed matts and cords. £5 10s 4d

From upon his stairs, one chest, three Hollan sheets, one pair of Dowlas sheets,

eight pairs of canvas sheets, three Diaper table cloths, three dozen of Diaper

table napkins, a pair of Hollan pilow boards, three pair of coarse pillow boards,

three coarse bolster cloths, four coarse table cloths, four towels, two dozen and

three coarse table napkins and a Hollan pillow bearer. £7 7s 4d

In the parlour ,two table boards, seven joint stools, thirteen leather chairs, one

pair of brass andirons, one pair of fire tongs and a fire shovel, one brass lamp,

one clock and a looking glass with three brass hooks. £7 10s 6d

In the hall two table boards and three chairs. 11s 2d

In the kitchen one table board, three rush chairs, one sack, four spits, one iron

dropping pan, three latin pans, two gridirons, one toasting iron, one iron peel,

a pair of andirons, pot hangers, seven iron slewens, a pair of tobacco tongs and

three smoothing irons. £1 13s 6d

Also one brass pot, one hundred and fourteen pounds of pewter, ten pewter plates,

one iron kettle, two pot hooks, an iron fender, twenty-four and a half pounds of

kettle brass, a warming pan, a bell metal skillet and a mortar, two brass skillets,

two chafing dishes and a pair of great scales. £6 6s 8d

In the brewhouse one furnace, one frying pan, two brewing vats, wine wort coolers,

four buckets, four wooden dishes, one wooden bottle, one pitch fork, one flaskett,

one little pail, one spade. £2 3s 9d

In the inner buttery two barrels, two stands, one stooper, a pair of butter scales,

one form, one cupboard, one powdering tub, one salting vat, one cheese rack,

one wooden bottle, three cheese vats, nine pound of tallow, six flitches of bacon,

three hundred and a quarter of cheese, three dozn quart bottles, three dozen

trenchers, a dozen and a half earthen plates. One still, two tubs. £11 14s 8d

In the outer buttery two hogsheads, one barrel, two firkins, one meal trough,

one o-al (?) trough, one half bushell, one gallon. 16s 0d

One gold ring, one silver tobacco box, one silver dish. £2 10s 0d

In the barn Two quarters of wheat, two tunn of hay, clover hay and clover for food.

One vann, three sacks. £5 16s 2d

In the gate One colt, two hogs, one cart, saddle tree and cart harness, eight cord

of great wood, four hundred of faggots, one bridle, dung and straw. £8 5s 6d

Money in the house and owing upon bond and otherwise, £84, and also

£13 on very dangerous debts. Total £197 12s 11d
